Student-Teachers'' Ideas for Research in ELT

In studying language, four skills have to be mastered. One of them is listening. Gilakjani and Ahmadi (2011) stated listening skills hold an important role in developing a foreign language. Even though the other skills such as reading, speaking, and writing are important, but not all of them can be taught as difficult as listening. Teaching listening is quite challenging to teachers, especially in teaching students whose mother tongue is not English. Whereas to comprehend communication in any language, especially in English, we have to understand what the interlocutors are saying. Indahsari (2020) explained unlike in speaking, reading, or writing class, while learning to listen, students have to put more effort to give attention and also concentration to understand.
