This book presents a reliability-based life-cycle assessment framework which could be used to predict the residual life of bridges obtained through WIM data analysis in conjunction with modern NDT techniques. A brief overview of the process used to obtain traffic information from the WIM database is presented. The history, shortcomings, and highlights of recent WIM development are reviewed. Structural monitoring of bridges generally utilizes NDT techniques for detecting structural defects. The advantages and capabilities of the recent advanced NDT techniques for remotely monitoring of structural movements and deformations are highlighted. The finite element model to represent the dynamic behavior of bridges is presented. Finally, a reliability-based life-cycle performance method for predicting the residual life of a bridge with consideration of progressive deterioration and sudden extreme events is presented and discussed. Based on the problems and limitations of the previous studies, areas for further research are also identified.
Buku ini menggambarkan pengetahuan mendalam tentang struktur kebugaran (Structural Health Monitoring) dari jembatan dan pendekatan reliabilitas.
