This book aims to develop pragmatics understanding in accordance with the teaching and learning process of English as foreign language relates to the necessity for real communication. Pragmatics and its area of study, like speech acts, politeness, the face wants, the negative and positive face, and implicature should be implemented in the foreign language learning activities for gaining pragmatic competence.
