The latest Programme for International Assessment (PISA) 2012 results showed Indonesia is ranked at 64 from 65 countries participated in the three-year cycle test. The average scores for Indonesian students are: mathematics, 375, reading, 396 and 382 for science. It means that Indonesian student?s reading ability is below the average. The problem in teaching and learning English that many schools in Indonesia do not facilitate students with an appropriate textbook.
